Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken:
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Garlic Cream Sauce:
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the chicken broth to the skillet and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Bring the sauce to a simmer, and cook for 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Combine the Chicken and Sauce:
- Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the chicken to soak up some of the sauce and reheat.
- Serve:
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately with your favorite side dishes, such as pasta, mashed potatoes, or vegetables.
