Description

Indulge in this creamy garlic chicken—a comforting, flavorful dish that’s perfect for any occasion. It’s quick to prepare and sure to impress your family and friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken:
    • Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • Make the Garlic Cream Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Add the chicken broth to the skillet and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
    • Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Bring the sauce to a simmer, and cook for 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  • Combine the Chicken and Sauce:
    • Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top.
    • Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the chicken to soak up some of the sauce and reheat.
  • Serve:
    • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately with your favorite side dishes, such as pasta, mashed potatoes, or vegetables.

Notes

  • Make-Ahead Tip: The creamy garlic sauce can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently before adding the chicken.
  • Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave.
  • Freezing Instructions: The chicken and sauce can be frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator and reheat on the stove.
  • Variations: Add spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, or mushrooms to the sauce for extra flavor and texture. You can also swap the chicken breasts for thighs for a juicier alternative.
