Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless pork chops (1-inch thick)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs (lightly beaten)
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 8 oz fresh mushrooms (sliced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Set up a breading station: Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third. Season each with salt and pepper.
- Dredge each pork chop in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs until fully covered.
- Heat equal parts butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the breaded schnitzels until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- In the same skillet, add more butter if needed, sauté onions for about 3 minutes until translucent, then add mushrooms and cook until tender.
- Pour in heavy cream, scrape any browned bits from the pan, and let simmer for about 5 minutes. Season to taste.
- Return schnitzels to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and warm together for a minute before serving. Garnish with parsley.
