  • 8 oz wide egg noodles
  • 1 can (12 oz) tuna packed in water, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles in salted boiling water until al dente, about 6-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté diced onions in olive oil over medium heat until soft and translucent, around 4-5 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the cooked noodles, drained tuna, sautéed onions, cream of mushroom soup, frozen peas, and half of the cheddar cheese until well combined.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a casserole dish. Transfer the noodle mixture into the dish and spread evenly.
  5. Top with remaining cheddar cheese and sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
