- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- In a large pot, bring salted water to boil. Add rigatoni and cook until al dente (10-12 minutes). Reserve some pasta water before draining.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions until translucent (3-4 minutes), then stir in garlic until golden.
- Add sliced mushrooms and cook until tender and browned (5-7 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour in heavy cream, stirring gently. Let simmer until slightly thickened (about 5 minutes), adding reserved pasta water if needed.
- Toss the cooked rigatoni into the skillet with the sauce, mixing in grated Parmesan until melted.
