Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, searing until golden brown on both sides (5-7 minutes). Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until translucent (3-4 minutes).
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.
- Return chicken to the skillet, cover, and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes until cooked through.
- Cook rice according to package instructions.
- Serve smothered chicken over rice.
