- 1 package (8 oz) phyllo dough
- 12 large shrimp (cleaned and deveined)
- 1 ripe avocado
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- 2 tbsp fresh cilantro (chopped)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Melted butter for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Layer 3-4 sheets of phyllo dough, brushing melted butter between each layer. Cut into squares and press into muffin tins.
- In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté garlic and chili powder until fragrant. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- In a bowl, mash avocado with lime juice, salt, pepper, and cilantro until smooth yet chunky.
- Fill each phyllo cup with sautéed shrimp and top with mashed avocado.
- Bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
