  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb lean ground beef or turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (1 oz)
  • 1 cup refried beans
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • shredded lettuce and cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells in salted water until al dente; drain.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground meat over medium heat; drain fat and add taco seasoning.
  4. Stir in refried beans and salsa; simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Fill each pasta shell with the meat mixture and place in a baking dish.
  6. Top with shredded cheese and cover with foil. Bake for 25 minutes.
