- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- Sear Chicken: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). In an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Sear chicken and onions with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper for 5 to 6 minutes until golden.

- Simmer Marinara: Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Pour in marinara sauce and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring to coat the chicken.

- Add Gnocchi & Cheese: Stir uncooked potato gnocchi into the sauce. Remove from heat and generously top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.

- Bake & Serve: Bake uncovered for 15 to 18 minutes until gnocchi is tender and cheese is golden and bubbly. Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot!
