  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, and rice vinegar to create the marinade.
  3. Place salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet and pour half of the marinade over them. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Bake salmon for 12-15 minutes until cooked through and flaky.
  5. While baking, heat remaining marinade in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in cornstarch mixture until thickened into a glaze.
  6. Drizzle glaze over baked salmon and garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
