  • 4 fresh salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp caper berries, rinsed
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry, then season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge each fillet in flour, shaking off excess.
  3. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the salmon skin-side down for 4-5 minutes until golden brown; flip carefully.
  5. Remove salmon from skillet; add remaining butter, chicken broth, lemon juice, and capers to the pan. Stir well.
  6. Return salmon to the skillet; simmer for 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
