- 4 medium Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup sour cream (full-fat)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
- In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat; sauté onions until translucent (about 5 minutes).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced potatoes, sautéed onions, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and half of each cheese. Mix well.
