  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with brown and granulated sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract until combined.
  4. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in dried fruits and nuts gently.
  6. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared sheets about two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool on wire racks before serving.
