Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Stir in olive oil, flour, and kosher salt until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (1-2 hours).
  5. Punch down the risen dough gently and transfer it to a greased baking sheet, spreading it out with your fingers.
  6. Drizzle olive oil over the top, sprinkle with fresh herbs and coarse sea salt, then create dimples across the surface.
  7. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
