- 4 oz German sweet chocolate bar (melted)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream granulated sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Mix in milk and vegetable oil until smooth.
- Melt the German chocolate bar and stir into the wet mixture.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients; mix until just combined.
- Divide batter evenly between prepared pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks. Once cooled, frost with coconut-pecan frosting.
