Instructions

  1. Soak the glutinous rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Prepare your steamer by lining it with cheesecloth or banana leaves.
  3. Drain the soaked rice and steam over medium heat for 25-30 minutes until translucent and tender.
  4. In a small pot, combine coconut milk, sugar, and salt over low heat until dissolved.
  5. After steaming, transfer the sticky rice to a bowl and mix in half of the coconut sauce while warm.
  6. Serve warm, drizzling with the remaining coconut sauce and topped with fresh mango slices if desired.
