Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Medjool dates (pitted and chopped)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (sifted)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Soak chopped dates in hot water for 10 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
