Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in pork chops (1 inch thick)
  • 8 oz fresh cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (divided)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or white wine

Instructions

  1. Season pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides; let them rest at room temperature.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Sear the pork chops for 4-5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet.
  3. Add another tablespoon of butter to the skillet, then sauté sliced mushrooms and minced garlic for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Deglaze the pan with chicken broth or white wine, scraping up any browned bits. Simmer for about 3 minutes until slightly reduced.
  5. Return the pork chops to the skillet, spoon some mushroom mixture over them, and simmer together for another couple of minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm alongside your favorite sides.
