  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp cold water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Sear the cubed steak until browned on all sides (about 3-4 minutes per side).
  2. Add sliced onions and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onions soften (around 5 minutes).
  3. In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and optional paprika.
  4. Transfer the seared steak and onion mixture to the crock pot. Pour the sauce evenly over the top.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until tender.
  6. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the cornstarch mixture to thicken the gravy.
