  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candy canes (plus extra for garnish)

Instructions

  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, then stir in granulated and brown sugars until combined.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, whisking vigorously after each addition. Mix in vanilla and peppermint extracts.
  4. Sift cocoa powder and flour into the mixture, folding gently with a spatula. Stir in crushed candy canes.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
